ABOUT US

We are the recently established official distributor for Hodma Co-operatives organization, the largest supplier of Frankincense in Africa. We possess almost half of the Frankincense plantations in Somaliland. Hodma Co-operatives organization is an owned business with a prestigious history of proving Frankincense, dating back as far as 1896. We provide all different grades of Frankincense and Myrrh. We are able to ship to anywhere in the World.

In this production sector, there is no organized formula labour market in Somaliland. However, production systems exist as under members of the plantations (owning families ) who cultivate and harvest on a rotating basis called Gaafeysi and individuals who pay rent Cawaaji to the owning families and collect the production for the entire section.

We posses almost ½ of frankincense plantation in somaliland and somalia in which their centre are:

1-The Narrow Torrid Coast Strip (Guban)
Hulul, dhurelan, Eil-dibir, Gudmahadle,Igar, Aloolweyn, Dinas, Hanan,Lahanjeeh.

2-Martime Coastal line(Golf of Aden) Onghor, Las-muse, Dawlis. Uurweyn. raguuda ,Qoriwaharood, Eel-Damas,Dawlis,gorya'ad, Las-hunbale, Dhagah-guduud,Harshe, Kelya-waqar,Qalad-dheer,Dad- hunbale,Arsanyale,Ma'dah-gudane,Raguuda.

3-The law land belt(Ogo)
Fadhi-Gaab,Lasdomare,Kalbooca,Dhomo,Bihin,Galruble,Biyadhacay,Kalshiikh,and
Eilafwein.All these places are frankincense and myrrh trees plantation centers.They are under  
responsibility of Frankincense and myrrh Association.

so where is somaliland? somaliland is that region in the horn of africa,seperated from the arab world by the gulf of the aden and sites astride Djabouti to the west,Ethiopia to the south and italian somali to the east.it,s historical links with middle east goes back to the age of the pharaohs where recorded legend says that the queen Hadsepshut sent an emissary to puntland ,puntland means(land of incense)this name  given to the region by the Acient Egyption,s who traveled there thounsands of years ago to trade goods for this valuable Frankincense.

Today somaliland to bring frankincense,and myrrh and other ingredients of which the pharaohs used to embalm and anoint their dead.legend also says that the myrrh that balthasar,the Ethiopian king , one of the magi,brought to baby Jesus was probably imported from the golis range mountain of Somaliland where myrrh and frankincense grows and is exported to neighboring Ethiopia and abroad.
